People want not only the Discord experience, but also the unlimited data retention it promises. It may be necessary to offer an option to host users' private keys with Flotilla, allowing them to use the app through the classic login process without having to think about signing and authorization issues.
To be honest, when it comes to replacing Discord, Matrix hasn't managed to do it, and Nostr is unlikely to succeed either.
