我想, 发明 QUIC 这种东西的某家公司想必也被移动数据网络和移动设备的在线体验折磨到家了. 如果能在生态之中从基础设施(包括入户网络和移动网络)到终端设备都完全能控制下来, 让它们之间互相完美配合, 那 QUIC 肯定是真正的未来了. 但是除了能反向威胁 ISP 的超级巨头, 还有谁能做到呢, 从说服某些国内运营商不对 UDP 动手开始? :thumb_man:

Since upgrading my phone from 256GB to 1TB, I think I should switch from #Amethyst to #Nostrmo because I'm happy to save 200GB of mobile data bandwidth per month with 100GB of caching. This might seem exaggerated, but I believe all Nostr clients should actively cache most things, especially timeline events and media images. HTTPS handshakes can sometimes be incredibly slow, often causing clients that always load timelines in real-time to suddenly freeze, consuming a significant amount of bandwidth each time to repeatedly load Nostr events that have already been fetched countless times.

目前我接触过的很多开发者能拨开那层加密货币恐惧症的迷雾之后, 还能继续入门 Nostr 的, 最大的抱怨主要集中在 WebSocket 协议控制的复杂性, 比传统 HTTP API 要难太多. 以及密码学部分(secp256k1), 由于直接直通比特币生态, 他们也不得不和比特币开发者打交道, 因为最好的 secp256k1 相关密码学库和生态全是比特币经济支撑起来的, 也还会有人抱怨 Nostr 为什么不采用 ed25519.
相对对手来说, 普通用户入门学习门槛就很高, 开发部分入门难度就更加陡峭. 不过还好 Nostr 相关基础库已经在发展了, 以后也许可以避免入门开发者一开始就直接和协议层打交道.

我还挺希望 nostr 有个同类的对手的, 就目前而言对手要么是联邦制, 要么是纯 Web3 绑定, 不太感兴趣.

可能是习惯了 App 和手机验证码登陆吧, 我没办法想象没有密码管理习惯的人保存 Nostr 密钥对是什么样子的地狱难度.
PWA 不仅要适配桌面还要要以移动 UI/UX, 不是仅安装到桌面就是个 PWA 了, 有些网页应用连前进后退都不连贯, 体验很差, 让人能明显感觉到这是个需要不断重载的网页.

In the fediverse, you have to consider the feelings of other users on the same server. If a server is blocked by other servers because of one person, you will inevitably be blamed, regardless of whether it is your fault or not. In nostr, there is no server lockout, nor is there such a fake community culture.
